After I posted I got to thinking about HCT, so I looked for the web site. I stand corrected, it says they have about 55 Co drivers and about 18 O/O's, I guess the lease purchase deal didnt work out, they have all new Pete CO trucks. as for the 18 O/O's thats funny cause when I left in Oct 07, my truck was #C-018 (O/O #18) Also website says Co started in 84...........Doug

Troy, High Country (HCT) Was started by the sons around 89 or so, they run Western states pulling flatbed, grain hoppers, Pnuematics and just started a reefer division. They used to have all Co trucks, then they started adding lease trucks, right before I pulled my truck off the road, they started a Lease purchase program with New Petes. I have heard that they have now done away with the Co trucks and are all lease purchase, or owner operator, they figured they can make more money with no trucks to maintain! Anyway they are expanding all the time, Based out of Cortez CO they used to have a website, I have not checked it latley, they were too money hungry for me, I wouldnt go back there again.......Doug

Doug Blevins (10/31/2010) Troy, I used to load with alot of the tri state trucks at Moab when I loaded salt, and Rifle when I would load soda ash, they are some sharp looking trucks! I had my truck leased to High Country out of Cortez CO, the family that ownes the Co used to have quite a fleet of older Pete 359's and A model KW's hauling grain around Montacello UT back in the mid to late 70's they were painted blue and white, the had a couple painted like the early Shupe trucks. I wish I would have copied some of the pictures they had on the office wall! The owners of high country are the Crowley brothers, the older trucks belonged to thier Dad, and said "JC Crowley & sons" I think they also owned a grain elevator. I found a couple of pics of the older trucks, in the one with the Pete & KW, you can see some of the grain trucks in the background. I think they had about 10 or 12 grain trucks and a few leasors....... Doug
Doug-
Good looking set of trucks. Is JC Crowley/ High Country still operating?
Troy.

Thanks Erich. I used to drive it for a friend of mine. Then he bought me a 379 to replace it. He sold it to another guy on credit then had to repo it. Then we did some trading for it. Ever since I've been fixing everything the other guy messed up. Got it pretty much lined out now. Alot of the Aerodynes got removed and flattops puts on. As far as looks a flattop is nice. But I think you'd have to be a fool to take a Aerodyne off, especially if it works or you're more than 4' tall. Back when they were new if you had a Aerodyne hood or cabover you had a luxury truck.

Well, now I see it. Where'd you get yours at? Im a fan of the higher roof sleepers like the aerodyne. I think it looks great on your truck.

What I can say about those two W900a's from tristate is that they are really sharp with the aerodyne sleepers. I dont think Ive ever seen an a model with an aerodyne sleeper.
Those are awesome.

Little by little as I try to recall the video I played for customers many times ,I think the name might have been Jerry Stugart ,instead of Shupe .
