I am thnking that Brown was the Associated Transport in house truck which was an off shoot of Corbitt. I cannot remember if they were around before WW2 so I am going to say Corbitt.

CORBITT,,,,,,,,,,,,,at least the cab is

Pretty modern look to the trailer compared to the truck, maybe an ad for the BROWN trailer.

I''m an expert now, I didn''t have anything left over this time.

David Boudrie has this 1st, this truck is an very early Brown, perhaps one of the first models. Brown trucks were 1st built in 1939 in the shops of Horton Motor Lines of Charlotte, North Carolina, under the direction of owner H.D. "Buddy" Horton. They were designed by the company's chief engineer, J.L. Brown. The 1st Brown trucks were rebuilt Corbitts from the Horton fleet. All Browns built went to Horton/Associated Transport until marketed to the public after WW2. Besides Charlotte, Brown trucks were also built in Taunton and Westfield Massachusetts. The last Brown was built in 1953. Thanks to Don MacKenzie for this photo and the last one below with a later model. The middle photo is of the Brown factory, probably in the 1939-40 period.

Couldn't think of another truck with that raised center in the fender other than Brown.
