Here's a pretty spartan looking truck from the late 'teens or early '20's. Emblem removed. Photo from Warren Richardson.

It seems this truck scared almost everyone off, but Mike W and Jack Amaral both have the right answer. This truck is a Bethlehem from around 1920 or so. Bethlehem trucks were built in Allentown Pennsylvania from 1917 to 1926. This appears to be a 2-1/4 ton model using a 26 hp North American engine and internal gear drive. Thanks to Warren Richardson for the photo, and Dan Souday for the 1918 ad.

Seems so funny to me that Bethlehem trucks were made in Allentown, PA.  These two towns are side -by-side in eastern PA and rivals of sorts.  Used to be (and may still be ) that the annual Thanksgiving  Allentown-Bethlehem  football game is/was a big deal.  Of course, Allentown was home of Mack and Bethlehem had its Bethlehem Steel.

Life  is like a roll of toilet paper the closer  you get to the end, the faster it goes!  Enjoy each day.
