The GM auto in the photo for Sunday night is definitely a 1949 Buick and either a Super or Roadmaster model. Special continued the 1948 styling throughout 1949.

Once again Bill has the correct answer. STAR I need to wake up earlier. I can't out run him.

John Dameron (5/13/2012) The GM auto in the photo for Sunday night is definitely a 1949 Buick and either a Super or Roadmaster model. Special continued the 1948 styling throughout 1949. Thanks John for setting the record straight, and my apoligies to Brocky, he was right on the time frame.

No apologys necessary!! Granted GM used that body style into about 52, But I did not see anything else that new in the picture.
. I also question the local as being Austin?? It is too flat!! Austin is in a river valley with lots of hills..
