After a long phone conversation with Leroy Gurganus this has to be a 32 to 34 Diamond T since the vent doors appeared on the side of the hood in 32 and 34 was the last year of the flat windshield. Jeff did not give a date (late 30's???) of the picture but it is very possible that the Army was using and older truck to test the strength of that bridge.

Bill White beat everyone to the punch again. This is a Diamond T from about 1933. This set of Life Magazine photos was taken in 1938 and if you look closely you can see both 1-1/2 and 5 ton Diamond T's of about the same vintage. Brocky, I actually think the vee windshield came out in '34 and '33 was the first year for this grille style. There is no argument that these are beautifuly styled trucks.
