How to Post a link to an EBay auction

Posting a link to an item listed on EBay requires two pieces of information.

  1. A Thumbnail of the item.
  2. The url needed to find the item on ebay.

How to gather what you need from EBay.

1. Navigate to the EBay item you want to create a link to.

a. Right click on the EBay thumbnail for the item and select "Save Picture As" 

Give your picture a name

b. Copy the URL to the ebay item.

How to post the link to the ebay item.

Insert the thumbnail.

     a. In the edit message window, click on the little square icon of a picture.

     b. Click on "Browse" and select your thumbnail photo.

     c. Click on "Open".

     d. Click on "Add Image".

5. Link the thumbnail photo to the attachment.

     a. Copy the URL to the ebay listing to your clipboard.

     b. Click once on the thumbnail photo that you inserted in your message above to select it.

     c. Click on the hyperlink icon. (globe with a chain).

     d. Right click in the hyperlink box and select "paste" from the menu.

     e. Click on "OK".

 Click on "Post New Topic".
