I can't disagree with Mike W - this was built by White after it (chassis only) was designed by Sterling-White as their model TG1207 6x6.  Contract for Cardox with USAF was for 79 units.  Cardox built the sheet metal and fire fighting equipment and subcontracted the chassis to Sterling-White, soon to be White.

This one goes to one of our newest participants, "tamangel" Mike W. Mike had all the pertinent specs on this White-built Cardox 0-6 6x6. He pretty much gave me the day off. The photo is from the "Metro Fire" website posted by PZ 1 the other day and was taken at Marsh Field in California many years ago. Below is some info from the Crismon book, and a photo of a restored 0-6 from Dan Souday, perhaps the only 0-6 left.

Thanks Mike, and welcome to the board !
