I am working through adding some relays and improving my headlight system to an acceptable level. I have relays mounted and partly wired. Getting the volts through the relays back to the headlights and then also all the other stuff is the next project. The wiring on this truck has already been re-worked by someone. Some of the work they did is OK and some of it is less then desired. Hopefully tomorrow I will get if finished. Not sure referencing the wiring diagrams is going to help and I am dreading working in the dash for parts of this foray.

I've contemplated doing this to the B as the low beam headlights are candles, really small ones.  I don't run the high beams much as I know the old switch won't handle it as I put Halogens in it.

I'm thinking of just using the actual headlight power wire(from dash) to run the relay at each headlight.  There will be two relays(dim and bright)at each headlight.  I'm wondering if you couldn't do the same thing?  Or do you have inside wiring issues and need to replace it too?

Working on dash panel issues with the B is impossible, as it barely comes away from the dash as the steering column is in the way and don't feel like unbolting it every time I work on it.  Lucky the old truck has all original wiring with no real cuts/crimps/butt connectors floating around.

It can be done fairly easily leaving your dash stuff intact. You will need to run a feed off the battery bus or solinoid somewhere. The relays can be hidden under the hood or near the lights somewhere.

The last time I had the truck out in the dark after the lighting update it made a huge improvement. I would like to make the grounds a bit better but they are adequate now and that will suit me until I get more serious.
